Greater Burlington Chamber of Commerce Announces Nominations for 2010 Citizen of the Year 10/14/2010
It's that time of year again, when the Chamber announces it has opened nominations for the City of Burlington Citizen of the Year. If you know someone who has gone above the call of duty, performed an outstanding deed, or sacrificed time and energy for the benefit of our community, please nominate them. Tell their story in a detailed letter and mail to the Chamber no later than October 27th at PO Box 67, Burlington, NJ, 08016. The recipient will be announced on October 29th and recognized at an award ceremony and dinner on November 10th at the Cafe Gallery restaurant. Any questions should be directed to Chris Seiler at 609-386-1636 or cbseiler@yahoo.com. The Greater Burlington Chamber of Commerce is pleased to bestow recognition on local residents who deserve praise. Please take the time to nominate someone who works hard to make a difference in our beloved City of Burlington! Add Comment The Main Street Burlington Organization Committee has one big goal this year - to improve communication. We've started by creating this new, interactive website. We seek to provide visitors, residents, business owners, volunteers and municipal and non-profit partners with relevant, up to date information. At this point, this website is a work in progress. We're working hard every day to populate it with all necessary information. If you find that something is missing or inaccurate, please send us an email at info@mainstreetburlington.org. We'll do our best to correct any mistakes as soon as possible. Another great communication tool is our E-News blast "Main Street Outlook." If you haven't already signed up to receive your copy, go to the bottom of the home page and input your email address. You can view archived copies of past E-Newsletters on the News & Updates Tab of the Home Page of our website. Main Street Burlington is now on Facebook. Social networking is a great way to share information and photos. Click here to visit our page and 'Like' us. As always, Main Street Burlington is searching for volunteers to help us communicate our mission, which is quite simply, to make downtown Burlington a better place to live, work, and visit. We're looking for people interested in writing, photography, and graphic design. If you would like to volunteer to be on this committee and participate as part of our team, please send an email to OrgTeam@mainstreetburlington.org. Thanks for visiting our website. We hope that you'll consider sharing it with others. |
